how do you know?

As a beginner, but one who has read dozens of other blogs, I ask, how do I know there's anyone out there? I know twenty major and fatmammycat get loads of responses but some other bloggers don't get any at all, so how do they, or dare I say it, I, really really know that there is an adoring audience hanging on my(the rest of you can write your own begging letters) every trope. Just wondering. Has anyone else noticed that between the grossities of twenty-major there regularily appears the sensitivities of a budding Oscar Wilde?
